What You Didn't Know Your Body Needed...

Feeling good is a state of mind. Don’t deprive yourself of that much needed “good” in 2018.

Step 1...Make a decision to try Yoga!

Learn about your body and learn how to relax. You’ve heard it time and time again, how we, as women spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we tend to neglect ourselves. When is the last time you put “insert your name here” on your to-do list? Put yourself on your own list by coming to yoga or any other exercise class that you’ve been wanting to try. Make it a priority. Your mind and body will love you for it!

Step 2...Have an idea of what yoga is all about, especially it’s benefits and how they pertain to you.

Yoga does a body good by increasing flexibility, relieves pain and anxiety, helps you maintain a healthy weight, lowers risk of heart disease, lowers blood pressure, improves your balance and even enhances your mood greatly. The benefits of yoga are vast and definitely not limited to just the few mentioned here. If you have an injury, don’t let that stop you from attending. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much a regular practice can aid in healing and decrease your recovery time. Of course, always consult your doctor before starting any workout plan if you have any health conditions.

Step 3...Know what to expect before class. Call the studio, send an email, ask questions! There are many different forms of yoga for varying levels of abilities. For example, there is Meditative Yoga to Power Yoga and many levels in between. There’s also normal room temperature Yoga to Hot Yoga. If you have never practiced yoga before, don’t feel intimidated, just be sure to choose a class that caters to beginners or is specific to what your needs and desires are.

Step 4...Come to class!

After a little desire, research and action; you should find yourself on your mat, relaxed and ready to receive the blessings that have been prepared for you. You should soon realize that yoga is a very present help in your daily routine, strengthening your mind and body.
